So, now I'm a spider

I'm landed in new space and its shiny and clean. Space and light, space and light! Everywhere I look I see confirmation of my intentions and hard work. But, you know what they say - its not over till the fat lady sings and I'm too skinny to count my warbles in the shower.

Landing in a totally new reality, spun from my own silk to this extent, is a unique experience. Previously I felt guided, nurtured, taught. Now I am alone - swinging myself off into the void and assuming that everything I know is spinning out behind me, making form. I don't have the still-point moment to thoughtfully prepare the journey - that time is past. Momentum is all and I have to let go and trust, let go and trust.

Don't assume that I am unsupported. Quite the contrary. Every moment I am grateful to those that have been anchors for my jumps. There are many - this is a huge web - but leaps into empty space come from the urge at my centre and in those, I go alone, often weeping with relief because some amazing Anchor has said: 'here, let me hold that for you so you can take the next step'.

Of course, I panic. Sometimes I am overwhelmed by the amount of jumps and the still clean void. But then I catch a glimpse of a web connected and iridescent through the light and I realise: this web is being built. I shall sit in the centre of my star-catcher and grow fat on the realities that rest in my strands.

And then I shall sing!
